Kristie says: Koalas rule!

Kristie is determined not to be like the rest of her family, sitting lazily in the eucalyptus tree and chewing "dumb" leaves. If she were human she'd be 8 years old and believes there's nothing she can't do. Kristie is an overachiever at school and is always putting her hand up to answer questions. She's smart, sassy and bossy and is always suggesting the gang do things a different way.

Kristie wants to be able to do what other animals can do and is known to make spectacular or unexpected entrances to school, like a Ninja koala. She refuses to accept the limitations of being a koala and has taught herself to jump like a kangaroo, run like a dingo and climb like a possum. But sometimes Kristie overestimates her abilities - after all she is a koala, and she finds it hard to cope with failure.

Kristie often loses her patience with Kevin over his silly ideas but she never stays behind when the gang goes off on an adventure in case she misses out on the fun. Kristie is younger than Kevin but pretends she is older than she is. On long journeys, she often travels on Wally's back and when she falls asleep, she occasionally calls him "mum".
